Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria, on De Anza at City Center was “center ice” for hockey fans from all over the Valley last evening.  The San Jose Sharks – “swam” in to enjoy Amici’s great food and to greet their many many fans to raise donations for the Shark’s Foundation.

Judging by the crowd, the Sharks met their goal. The beloved ice hockey team and their mascot, Sharkie—were here in Cupertino, much to the delight of young and old alike.

The event, planned by 98.5 FM Radio was a huge success, and even without a gigantic pre-promotion the crowds showed up en masse to meet and greet their favorite Shark’s hockey stars.

While some Shark’s team members were still at the Olympics in Vancouver, B.C. – those who were back in San Jose came to Amici’s. Shown in this photo are: Niclas Wallin, Ryane Clowe, Scott Nichol, Manny Malhotra, and Team Captain, Rob Blake.  Local Cupertino hockey fan, Stuart Chessen won the grand prize raffle of a getaway.
